WALKING!

Today when I picked up Bailey at "Miss Brandi's", she said she had been walking all over the place! I was so excited because for the past couple of days I kept saying I think she is about to really take off. When we got home I took out the video camera to catch her in action and caught a few good videos. I am so excited that she will probably be walking around at her first birthday party. GEAUX, BAILEY CATHERINE! (and Mommy loves being right with her prediction of 11 months old!..ok, a few days shy of 12 months, but STILL 11!)

First Monday Visit with Grandparents

Bo's parents came to visit First Monday weekend, and Bailey had a ton of fun while they were here. They brought her a new rocking horse that neighs and makes galloping noises which she loves, and a new tricycle that she rides on around the house. She can't quite reach the pedals yet, but she holds on while I push her from one end of the house to another. It's a good thing we have a long hallway...it's great for tricycles! We went shopping for a winter coat and out to eat at Texas Land and Cattle which brought back memories of bringing Bailey there when she was only about 6 weeks old. Time has really flown by. Lastly we went to First Monday Trade Days in Canton (Mommy's favorite!) and enjoyed the beautiful weather! Bailey is a pro in Canton...I think she has already been 4 or 5 times in her short little life.

These are a few of my favorite pics from that weekend.

Rebels and Tigers and Gators, Oh my!

Just like my daddy!

My FAVORITE!

This one's for you, Meemaw! (I still secretly cheer for the Gators...don't tell Mommy!)

A Walk in the Park

Bailey has been taking more and more steps by herself, so she got some new shoes today to be able to walk around outside because we think she is only a few days away from walking more independently. I had predicted by 11 months, but she is now 11 months 6 days old. She walked for a long time across the park while holding on to Mama's and Daddy's hands. We had such a great time hanging around the park taking pics and playing on the playground.

Happy Fall Y'all!

Bailey visited the Pumpkin Patch and picked out two pumpkins. She's not going trick-or-treating this year, so we just decided to take a few fall pics instead of pics in a costume. She is my little pumpkin (I sure felt like she was one last year at this time!).

State Fair of Texas

Bo's brother Chris and his family came to visit this weekend, and we were able to take the kids to the State Fair of Texas. Everyone had a great time once we got there (nightmare trying to get there on the DART), and Bailey did such a great job of hanging out all day long. She's such a little trooper.

Girl on the Geaux (oops...Go!)

I caught video of Bailey walking with her "car" today. It is so exciting watching her grow and change so much. She has been cruising along the furniture more and more as well as standing by herself and taking steps while holding Mommy's hand. I've predicted she'll be walking by 11 months. I guess we'll see!

A Bunch of Hot Air...

Balloons, that is! Bo texted me this morning on his way to his early morning tee time and said, "Dude, there are about 30 hot air balloons up here!" I remembered the Plano Hot Air Balloon Festival, and thought that was probably why they were out. Bailey and I jumped in the car (fresh out of bed) and drove over to check them out. We stopped at Stoney Hollow Park and were able to see quite a few. Bailey also enjoyed her first time in a "big girl" swing on the playground. We have been wanting to let her do this for a while because she loves swings, but our park doesn't have the bucket swings. She LOVED it! I love seeing her enjoy all of her "firsts"! She has also begun walking to me a bit after holding on to the furniture. I'm predicting by 11 months she'll be off!! She just turned 10 months yesterday, so this morning was a fun birthday with huge balloons!

Labor Day Weekend in Louisiana

Bailey had a great time with her cousins, Cooper and Madison. We wish we saw them more often. They are all growing so fast!
Getting some love from G.G.
Sweet baby girl in the walker we got while down in Louisiana so she could cruise around outside. She loved it and was so good at it!
I think Bailey wished she could get out there and play soccer with the big kids!
My sweet niece Addison with Great Nannie Sue! She is such a sweet baby, and I am happy she and Bailey will grow up together. I always get homesick when we visit Louisiana.

New Jammies!

Bailey received 5 new pairs of pajamas from her Memaw McReynolds on her 9 month birthday, and she loves them! (Mommy loves them too!) I swear ever since she has been wearing them she has been sleeping 10+ hours a night! This has been a long time coming for us, and Mommy is now a whole new woman! I hated the dreaded, "Does she sleep through the night?" question! I will NEVER ask a new mom that! I'm sure it's not just the jammies, but we're not changing a thing! (I'm seeing unwashed soccer and t ball uniforms in my future too!)

Mommy's Birthday, Bailey's Nine Month Birthday, Surprise From Meemaw and Peepaw

August 19th was a special day for us. It was my birthday and Bailey's 9 month birthday. It's hard for me to believe how fast my baby girl is growing. These pictures are terrible, but I haven't yet sat her down to do her "chair pic" with her pink monkey and pillow that I do each month.

This is a video I took of Bailey opening a gift from her Meemaw and Peepaw Caves. She cracks me up how she loves to eat the paper more than seeing what the gift is! I now know what to do for Christmas! (forgive how silly I sound in the video!)

My Two Front Teeth

These are two of my favoite shots of Bailey showing off her two front teeth. She still only has her two bottom teeth, but I think she's working on a few more...she has tons of saliva drooling out of her mouth (makes for great smooches) and gets a little cranky every now and then.
She has graduated out of her safety bathtub seat, and just loves taking a bath! She loves looking at me through the silver drain thing (not sure what it's called) at the front of the tub. She looks in to see if I'm watching and then starts waving at me while looking at my reflection. It cracks me up every time!

Visit with Daddy's Parents

Bo's parents came for a visit and we had a good time hanging out, eating at Isla Morada, shopping at Bass Pro Shop and Wal-Mart! It was a fast visit, but fun. Bailey hadn't seen her grandpa since March, so it was fun to see them together.

Far Behind

I am so far behind on updating this blog! I am good about adding pictures to my facebook account, but have neglected my blog for quite a while. Bear with me as I add quite a few pics and posts today.

Peepaw's Girl

Bailey loves to eat smooshed bananas, and I like to think she gets this from my dad! I can't wait for them one day to share a banana.

She was a happy girl the day I gave her a few red beans. This is another one of Peepaw's favorites. I think she knows she really is a Louisiana girl and not a Texan!

Don't Just Stand There

Bailey's new favorite thing to do is STAND! She pulls up either on me or the ottoman or the couch and will just stand there grinning and yelling to show how proud she is of herself. She definitely is one determined little girl and does not give up very easily.

I love watching her every move and am so thankful to be a SAHM for the summertime. It is going to so difficult to go back to work in August.

We've been going for walks everyday and I think Bailey looks forward to it. She gets excited as soon as I put her in her stroller. She's learning quite a bit about home construction as we have about five new houses being built on our route. I give her a sippy cup of water for the ride because we've had 100 degree temps, and she's getting pretty good at using it.

Add Image
One of my favorite things that she did today was sit with her head on her arm leaned over her highchair to watch Doodie eat his dog food. I hope she wasn't getting any ideas! It was just so cute because she would take a bite of her own food then lean her head down back in the same spot every time to watch him, then back to eating her food again. I tried to capture it with my cell phone camera, but of course then she became more interested in that.

It truly is the little things...

Happy 4th of July

This is Bailey's new "cheese" grin! We're not sure where she learned this, but she has been doing it so much lately! The sound effects are even funnier, and she'll do it at some of the most random times.

I LOVE this picture! I think it was such a perfect shot of her in her new shades! We had gone to the pool yesterday and everyone had shades but her, so Daddy bought her some while at Target today. He must have tried at least 20 pair on her! These are great because they are flexible and have a soft velcro head strap. Too bad we got home too late to try them out in the pool. There's always tomorrow. :)

Bubble fun in the front yard. She loved the grass much more than the bubbles! That's how it always goes right!? Why spend money when there's so much to explore for free...

7 months old

Bailey Catherine is already 7 months old and is all over the place! It's hard to believe this once tiny little thing (well, not exactly tiny) used to sleep practically all day (when she wasn't eating!) and stay in one spot until we moved her. This is one of my favorite pictures of her because she looks so grown up and like a little girl.
