I'm proclaiming today Cookie Day! Bailey and I went to school today to share lunch with one of my favorite custodians who is moving on to another job. One of the other teachers brought cookies so Bailey left with a whole bag all for herself. Boy did she love that!! We ran around town today running errands and played at the Galleria playplace. It should be called crazyplace! Bailey sure enjoyed herself, but I had to remind myself that I was in Mommy mode and to turn off the teacher mode. I found myself wanting to place kids in timeout for running over my girlie. She is quite a daredevil, and I'm pretty sure she could handle things without me :) Back to cookie day...When Daddy got home, he decided he needed to bake cookies, so Bailey had an extra batch to share with him. She's pretty good at dunking...Happy Cookie Day!

School's Out for SUMMER!
As of yesterday, I am officially on break and a SAHM for the next few weeks. Today Bailey and I ran a few errands then went on our first field trip to the public library. She loved it, and I loved seeing how excited she was to be there. They have a bright and cheery kids' section and she must have tried out every seat, chair, bench, and hiding cubby there was available. She spotted a book titled Apples and immediately grabbed it and said, "apples!" I like to think she is a smarty :) (of course it was covered in apple photographs) Our friends the Savages were there too, minus the littlest G, and it was so nice to see them. I can't wait to see them a little more now that the summer is here. Wednesdays are the storytime days at the library, so we'll probably make it a weekly trip to the library.
...I'm off to find a few more "free" field trips for the rest of our weeks.

6 Month Update
I'm back into the blogging business now that work is starting to be less time consuming and less tiring. It's amazing how not having the stress of state testing looming over you makes for more enjoyable work days! That and the fact that we only have 15 days of school left~
I was thinking how pitiful it was that my last big entry on here was for Bailey's 1 year birthday, and here we are almost 6 months later! I think part of the reason was that I have been spending so much more time on Facebook other than updating my blog, but my priority is now my blog because I want to be able to show it to her when she gets older.
What's new with Bailey Catherine?
She just started saying "please" regularly without encouragement, and that is so huge! I loved hearing her say it for the first time when she asked for a banana the other day. I give credit to Miss Brandi, because I know how wonderful she is with the girls. We are so lucky to have her as Bailey's daycare provider.
"Outside" is probably her favorite word, and we love that she enjoys spending so much time outside. I can't wait for summer to be here so that we can go on "field trips" together.
I planted a fruit and vegetable garden a few weeks ago, and Bailey loves checking it out everyday with me and loves getting soaked while I water it. The splash park at our pool is going to be a huge hit this summer!
Bailey had her first snowball (ok, snow cone) a few days ago with her summer friends, Garrett and Gaitley. I call them summer friends because we don't see them nearly as often as we should. Her snowcone was clear coconut, and she was so cute just dipping her spoon and licking it. She was so happy!
Garage sales, antique stores, and flea markets...that pretty much sums up our Mother's Day weekend! We had such a blast enjoying all three! I love that Bo enjoys it as much as I do, and Bailey is always such a trooper. Bailey gave me a hummingbird charm for my bracelet, and Bo gave me some goodies from my favorite bath store, LUSH! I've been blessed with a sweet family~

Facebook vs. Blogger
Facebook wins!! I know now why I have neglected my blog so badly! It takes forever to upload! Tomorrow's a new day...and more posts :)
Bailey's One Year Birthday...2 month's ago!
So I'm a little behind on my blog...go figure! We celebrated Bailey's first birthday with two parties. One here in TX on her official day with a few friends. Bo's mom also flew in for her birthday since they were going to be in Chicago for her Louisiana party. I was surprised at how non-messy Bailey was with her cake at both parties. What a sweet little girlie! She had fun opening her presents and playing with her friends and cousins. I am still amazed everyday at how much time has flown and how much she has grown. (and walking at her parties!! yeehaw!)
